Faculty of Architecture
Since 1950, architectural education at HKU has grown into a leading comprehensive built environment school today. Its academic disciplines cover the full construction lifecycle, spanning urban planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, real estate, construction management and conservation, with professional accreditation recognised both locally and internationally.

Faculty Management Team
Educated in China and the US, Professor Yung Ho CHANG has taught and taken leadership roles at top institutions, including Peking University, Harvard Graduate School of Design, University of Michigan, and MIT. Professionally, he co-founded Atelier Feichang Jianzhu and has gained international recognition for his wide-ranging, interdisciplinary practice, including a UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts in 2000, and an Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2006. Professor Chang served as a jury member for the globally esteemed Pritzker Architecture Prize. He is also Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and Emeritus Professor at MIT.

Faculty of Architecture 75th Anniversary Reception
On 27 June 2026, more than 400 alumni, students, colleagues, partners, and friends gathered at the historic Loke Yew Hall for the Faculty of Architecture’s 75th Anniversary Reception. Together, we celebrated 75 years of architectural education, as well as the countless friendships, collaborations, and shared memories that have shaped our community across generations.
